I’m getting a lot of questions right now when I talk with Keller Williams agents about what can we do with KW Command or should we really use it?Ballen Brands is at Your Command for Keller Williams Command!
What’s the Value in KW Command
What’s the value in KW Command and Command as a whole as a CRM as a database?
We now have real estate websites that they’re tying in to IDX websites. There’s really a lot of opportunities here for us to take advantage of things that most of us probably aren’t doing right now.
In a nutshell, Command is a great CRM and it’s still in the works, so there are a few things that are still being worked out, but it’s giving such a valuable tool for most of us that aren’t actively working our database.
Where we often suffer in the database is actually in the follow-ups, the smart plans as they are called in Command, basically our drip marketing. It takes more than just a standard email once a month or a typical newsletter these days to keep a rapport with our customer base.
This could be our past clients, this could be future business that we’re working on, but regardless it’s important for us to keep in touch and not just rely on top of mind marketing like we once did with recipes every month or happy holidays – that kind of thing. Sure, you still want to reach out to people and touch base when you can, but it’s always important to offer something of value.
The Goal: Provide value and keep a connection.
The goal here is to keep a connection with database contacts – that’s what’s key, otherwise every day we could be losing someone to somebody else.
We want to make sure to continue to provide value and keep a connection.
Command, with some of the smart plans they have already rolled out, including the birthday plans, the open house follow-up plan, the neighborhood nurture plan, etc. can already be a huge value to your business.
For the neighborhood nurture, you simply put in a neighborhood and you can make sure people stay up to date with what’s relevant to them. Whether they’re sellers or recent buyers, it’s a great way to keep a pulse for your clients on what’s going in the real estate market. So even if you just start there, it’s a great service, and a great tool.
KW Command Websites
Next, the question becomes the websites. What can we do with the websites? How valuable are they? Why can’t we do this why can’t we do that?
We still believe in having real estate websites that are created for your business, not just your brokerage site, or what’s provided through your brokerage.
We believe that it’s important to have full control and identity over your own marketing and your own brand.
The Command sites are really going to continue to roll out more value to the end-user to the consumer.
Picture this for a moment, if you’re working with a potential lead and you’re having regular interaction with them, you’re going to send them to a website.
You can certainly send them to your real estate website that has IDX. You’ve got all your brochures and your great branding and everything else in there, but it’s not really connected to your database, in this case, KW Command.
So what happens is there’s going to be a marriage here at some point or a blend where it makes sense to have the KW site that they’re offering now as part of Command to have that connected for you.
You may not choose to invest a lot of content, pr a lot of money into it building out content, and building out pages still have a little way to go for formatting and some of the widgets that they have available.
But really think about the consumer. The consumer is getting a neighborhood email drip and their reference back to the website that KW Command offers, then certainly you want to make sure that they have an opportunity to get some basic buyer information, basic seller information, see your logo on there, etc.
It’s still valuable to set up the site and to have it integrated because the end-user that you’re working with is going to see a lot of value in that.
Now that being said, we do understand that a lot of agents are having challenges setting up these particular sites. It’s not that they’re not user-friendly, they’re just a new program, it’s a new platform. It’s something that’s not convenient for those of us that are not used to building out these pages.Don’t Want to Do This Yourself? Let Us Do It For You!

One of the things that we now offer is to get your site set up. Our goal here is to get you over that hurdle, in order to have that basic foundation set up. And as these sites continue to grow they will continue to become even more valuable.
What we don’t want to see happen is everybody waits, we wait, we wait, we avoid it, we’re not going to do it and then here we are six months from now. It’s now an outstanding tool and we’re going to end up wishing we would have started a lot earlier.
Our recommendation here is, again, not necessarily abandon your other websites or other CRMs, especially if there are certain things that are already working there. Let’s not wait, let’s get you invested, let’s get you involved.Ballen Brands is at Your Command for Keller Williams Command!

Keller Williams is rolling out a fantastic product here. We’ve got a great CRM that’s already very workable, helping a lot of agents do more than what they were doing before and it’s going to continue to be enhanced and offer more value.
Now we have the websites that are not necessarily meant to rank on the search engines and beat out our competition, but a great tool to help really bring it all together, complete this puzzle for the end-user, for that consumer that you’re working with and give them a really good experience.
So ultimately we do believe it’s going to help us get more business. This is going to help us retain more customers and that’s what we’re trying to do is build a rapport and have them part of our whole world, continuing to offer them value.
