How to View Email History and Engagement in Infusionsoft

Hello, hello. Jeff Helvin here with Ballen Brands, and today I’m gonna show you a simple little feature in Infusionsoft that holds a lot of power, and that is whether or not your contacts are interacting with your emails.

 So what you see here is a simple search result, I did a search for Tom Test in my record here, in my account. And this is the result. So what I’m gonna do is just hover over the email icon and click on it, and here I can actually see the emails that have been sent to Tom. So in this case, on 3/23, I can see that he opened the email that said, “Tom, your home search on steroids.”

On 3/29 I can see he actually clicked a link in an email that said, “Tom, I tried to reach you.”

And on 3/30 I can see that an email was sent that says, “Let me known Tom.” But the status shows as unopened. So I’m able to actually see that he’s not engaged with that particular email. So again, what we can see here is opened, whether they open the email.

Whether they clicked the email, which of course indicates that they opened and clicked a link in the email. And we can see if it’s unopened.

A couple other statuses you might see is whether or not the email was bounced. So we know if it’s a bad email address, or if something was unsubscribed, which again, might show up as clicked as one of the mains that are in there.

The other spot you can see this is if I actually click on Tom Test and pull up his entire record. It also shows down here at the very bottom, same thing here, and I can also view those emails that were sent. So I can view the content of those emails as well as whether they were opened or clicked or bounced or otherwise.

So if you have any questions on that, again, simple little tool, but super helpful in how we follow up and interact here with Tom when we give him a call to know whether or not he is actually opening or sending those emails. If he’s not opening any of them, well, maybe I take a different action. They may not be getting delivered to his inbox.

Or I can see that he’s clicking around, I might call and ask him a few questions based on what’s in that actual email communications. So again, very powerful tool if you choose to use it. If you have any other questions, we’d love at Infusionsoft over here to see what we can do with it.
