Now, when you set up your Infusionsoft account originally, it usually asks you a few details such as your email, your phone number. It allows you to upload a company logo, for example, and a lot of times it’ll help build your signature file automatically, just on that process when you set up the account. But if you want to update it now, let’s say you see something going out in your emails, you want to change it, or maybe you don’t recall doing that and you want to go check it, well, I’m going to show you how to do that right here.
So login to Infusionsoft, it’s on my dashboard here, and up in the top left, as usual, we’re going to go into the Infusionsoft icon and hover over that. And then under admin, I’m going to go to users. So I’m going to go ahead and select myself as the user here that I’m sampling, and you’ll see this is my profile information that I have in Infusionsoft for my particular user account. So we already have a company name, I’ve got an email and I’ve got a phone number in there.
If you look down here to the signature file, you’ll notice that this is the preview that it’s giving me. It’s building my signature for me. If I wanted to change anything, let’s say I want to change the company name, and I change that, you’ll see it here it actually just modifies right as I’m doing it. As soon as I pop off the fields here, you’ll see down here that it’s updated.
So let’s say I want to go ahead and add my mobile phone here. All right. And I’m going to say that’s my mobile and you’ll see down here it added it to my signature file.
Now, I can also use a signature image. If I go ahead and browse, and choose an image, and select it, it’s going to upload it and actually pop it right into my signature preview. This works out great. This is a text signature, so it’s easy to read in emails, and were able to, again, kind of a personalization with either a logo or a profile image, and it works out great. Then, this will automatically show up in your emails.
Now, from time to time, you might have your own custom signature file that you’d like to make a little more sophisticated, and maybe not use this default one. There is actually an option. It used to be available in all applications previously, and it was called Signature. There’s a signature tab up here.
Now, in the newer versions of the Infusionsoft apps, they’re not automatically installing those because they’re technically supporting that feature anymore, but it is still available. So I’m actually going to show you where to go get that. If you hover over them, again, the Infusionsoft icon, and go to your settings under the admin column, and then on the left-hand side you’re going go to a user because we’re going to update a user setting here.
Then, there’s this option to enable legacy user signature. We’re going to click yes and hit save. Now, when I go back to the users, and then back to myself as the user, I have a little option right here that says signatures legacy next to it. When we do this, there’s a text version and an HTML version, so I could just simply put in the information that I want here because maybe I want it to show up in a different order, for example, and then down here, there’s an HTML version as well.
I can click edit, and then I can do the same thing. Okay. I type that out.
Now, the reason I might want to do that is maybe I want to make my website a link, for example. So if I go and type in ballenbrands.com/infusionsoft, for example, I can actually highlight this, go ahead and make it a link by using these controls here. Okay. So I can select one, hit insert, and now it’s a link.
I can also upload images. I can maybe do some custom colors, things like that. If I really want to get a little more sophisticated, then, of course, I’m able to do that. Then, I pop in that information and go ahead and click save. Then, when I send out emails, instead of using this default one here, this one that it builds for you, it’s going to actually use the custom one that you have set up. That is what you have as options for email signatures in Infusionsoft.
